Singer, actress, and Rare Beauty founder Selena Gomez has shared exciting personal news on her official Instagram account, announcing her engagement. She posted photos showcasing her engagement ring with the heartfelt caption, "forever begins now..."
The 32-year-old Gomez confirmed her relationship with record producer Benny Blanco in December 2023, though rumors of their romance date back to June of the previous year. The two have collaborated professionally in the past, working together on Gomez's singles "Single Soon" (2023) and "I Can't Get Enough" (2019).
In a November interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gomez described her relationship with Blanco as the most secure she has ever felt, adding, "I see a future with this person."
This year has been monumental for Gomez, both professionally and personally. At the Cannes Film Festival, she won the Best Actress award alongside her Emilia Perez co-stars Karla Sofía Gascón, Adriana Paz, and Zoe Saldaña. She was also nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Hulu's Only Murders in the Building. Just this week, Gomez earned two Golden Globe nominations—for Emilia Perez and Only Murders in the Building.
In addition to her on-screen success, Gomez was honored with the Equity in Entertainment Award at The Hollywood Reporter's Women in Entertainment gala breakfast last week. Most recently, she made headlines during the Academy Women’s Lunch.
Blanco, 36, is a highly acclaimed music producer who has worked with some of the industry's biggest names, including Ed Sheeran, BTS, Eminem, Justin Bieber, Halsey, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Kesha, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Sia, The Weeknd, Kanye West, Avicii, Charlie Puth, Wiz Khalifa, J Balvin, Ariana Grande, and SZA.
